No Time for Leaders
We have created this zine as a framing that helps guide our work moving forward.
We understand that this era is presenting health challenges that we have not seen before and perhaps do not have the languages and narratives to describe what is happening. The zine provides a path towards health reparations and a set of guiding contemplations. We are also introducing the concept of "no time for leaders", as we are observing that centralised and hierarchical approaches to health justice are not meeting the demand of the plural crises.
We dream of a time where healing happens in both formal and informal settings, where people are connecting with their bodies and self-advocating for health justice, where there are health clinics run and stewarded by those most affected by the multiple violences, where the pervasive narrative is one of healing, reciprocity, and Kinship.
In 2026, we will be formally launching our Solidarity Healing Hubs, where we humbly pick up the baton from those who came before and in solidarity with other current healing movements.
