Project Research & Development
Challenge What is it like to be a woman in the 21st century from a health and cultural perspective? This required a deep dive into the endocrine system and how it interacts with modern life (the places we live, life stressors we face, and health barriers faced by a wide range of women). Moody Month is the first women’s health app that has scientists and doctors supporting and contributing to its insights
Tools Literature review
Methods We put together a diverse team of anthropologists, scientists, and designers to look at what it means to be a “woman” and how that relates to health
Outputs A digital lexicon with scientific understandings, various types of womanhoods, inequities faced by various women such as Black and Transwomen, and knowledge health gaps. We also conducted a wide range of workshops to bring together their digital, health, and design teams into the journey of Women’s Health for the 21st century
Outcomes The Moody team walked away with a robust lexicon on the wide range of topics related to women’s health
